Snow Park

Winter 2021

Sleepy Hollow’s Snow Park will not be opening this winter.

The warm December temperatures have delayed our snow making to the point that we will not have the time to make snow, get the tubing lanes ready, hire and train staff all prior to Christmas. Also with the rise in Covid numbers and smaller interior spaces in our lodge, we don’t want to become a super spreader situation.
Instead, we will devote our time and efforts toward making our Spring Renaissance Faire in May (our first ever free event) our summer events, Fall Renaissance Faire and Halloween Scream Park all even more outstanding!

Policies & Liability

All participants must sign an Indemnification Agreement/Waiver of Liability. You may print the agreement and have it signed prior to arrival. This is required for all minors being dropped off.

  • All tubers must ride in their own tube although an adult may slide with their small child by holding on to their tube.
  • Sorry no personal tubes or sleds
  • Typically our busiest time is from 1pm – 5pm on Saturday and Sunday

Sledding or Tubing? You don’t have to choose just one! At Sleepy Hollow you can do both. Snow Tubing offers multiple 1,000 foot runs to slide down by yourself or with you buds or family. Zipfy Sledding is crazier on little luge sleds that you control with your body. Choose from several runs over a variety of terrain that keep it fresh and challenging. Sleepy Hollow makes snow on all our runs and grooms it all daily. In a typical year we pump over 7 MILLION gallons of water through our snowmaking system so we don’t have to rely on mother nature.

Bonus – You will never have to walk up the hill. We have a quad chair lift to wisk you to the top for another exhilarating run. We provide tubes and sleds as well as staff that monitors it all for your safety. The whole area is lit for evening activities so you choose the time of the day that works best for you.

All levels of the lodge offer a view of the slopes.

Winter Activities

Snow Tubing

Group of girls snow tubing at Sleepy Hollow Sports Park

Imagine the trill of sliding down a 1,000 foot groomed run. The snow crunching under you a crisp breeze rushing by your face, linking up tubes with family or friends, or just seeing how fast and far you can slide. Now, instead of walking up the hill you get on the chair lift for a quick ride to the top. Every run is a little unique between the different runs you may choose from, whether your tube spins or goes straight and whether you choose to slide alone or link up with your buddies. So much fun! The only requirement is that participants be at least 5 years old. Helmets are required for ages 5 through 6

This is a great group or family activity.

Zipfy Sleds

For even more speed and excitement make it a combo with Zipfy Sleds. Zipfys are smaller lightweight plastic sleds that you control with your feet as brakes and leaning side to side for steering. (So nothing complicated). You simply ride the chairlift up and choose from a variety of runs to race down. Sleepy Hollow creates a variety of runs using natural terrain and groomed snow. The end result is a big rush as you go flying down the hill. You determine your speed and direction. Beginners will have a blast, but it is certainly something you will get better at with experience. Our favorite thing about Zipfys other than how easily maneuverable they are is that they slide in all conditions.

Stiga Sleds

This front driving ski sled is super fast and super fun!
